Around 150 members from the World Mission Society Church of God participated in the clean-up campaign today on March 11th in Toluca, Mexico. According to the Church, the campaign was carried out simultaneously in 150 countries around the world to the purpose of protect environment and preparing the Passover scheduled on April 5th in 2012.
One-day clean-up campaign was carried out in Benito Juarez market and empty lot in Toluca. As a center base of Mexico City's commercial operations, this place is where tons of garbage and organic wastes are accumulated with lots of people commuting to make a purchase every weekend.
By leading of missionary groups of Church of God who came from Korea, the home of this denomination, the volunteers made an effort to collect every waste they found in the site of around 2 hectare by forming a huge human chain.
In the same time zone when volunteers carried out the one-day clean-up campaign in Toluca, another members from the World Mission Society Church of God in other cities such as Veracruz, Tabasco, Chiaoas and Cancun also participated in the clean-up campaign in the rivers, beaches, and oceans. They contributed to the environment to its reversion before the state of the pollution.
Deacon Emmanuel Hernandez from Church of God in Mexico explained that the campaign is to prepare the upcoming Passover on April 5th in 2012, as a part of purifying and saving the earth. In addition, he said Passover is the day we should share the bread and the wine which represent the flesh and the blood of God by celebrating one of the God's festivals that were kept among Jesus and His disciples.

[Australia News] Blood donation shares the love of Christ Ahnsahnghong

[Australia News] Blood donation shares the love of Christ Ahnsahnghong

Published on Dec 11, 2012
Blood drive is a valuable action to save one's life. The World Mission Society Church of God (Rev. General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol) which practices the love of Heavenly Mother is expected to campaign the blood drive with the purpose of saving one's life in danger due to the blood supply shortage.

Pascoe Vale based World Mission Society Church of God in Melbourne, Australia, said around 60 members are scheduled to South Bank where there is the blood donation center and campaign the blood drive on the Australian Day on 26th, Thursday. The campaign is a specially prepared event by World Mission Society Church of God to celebrate the sacred birth of Christ Ahnsahnghong who appeared as a second time to save all mankind.

A missionary from the Church of God in Melbourne, Australia stated the purpose of the campaign saying, "It is planned to save one's life dying of failing to get the blood transfusion and to solve the chronic problem of blood supply shortage in Australia." He also added, "The Second Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong came down to this earth to let all mankind receive the eternal life through the Passover the New Covenant." He said, "We hope the good news of God's coming to this earth also could be heard ."

According to a statistics research, one out of three Australian needs transfusion. However, only one in thirty people donates blood. The population participating in the blood drive every year is only 3 percent of the total population.

This campaign is expected to change the consciousness of people who have negative thoughts about the blood drive and to contribute greatly to expand the donor base and to change public perception of the blood drive. In addition, it is likely to solve the most urgent problem of the blood supply shortage and to save emergency patients needing a large blood supply.

"I have never participated in blood donation in my life. I was actually nervous at first, but now I am so excited and even look forward to it because I know it will greatly contribute to saving a precious life of someone." said Mignonne Malan (25) from the Church of God expressing her excitement regarding the blood donation. She also added, "I'm proud of spreading the love of God the Father Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother New Jerusalem." She said she would definitely join the blood drive on the 26th day of this month.

The World Mission Society Church of God also held a blood drive at NSW Red Cross Blood Donor Center in Sydney on January 6. Around 30 members of the Church participated in the event. One day before, on the 5th day of this month, their activities were broadcasted through the channel "Radio 2000. 98.5FM."
The World Mission Society Church of God originated from South Korea in the east from the ends of the earth and spread to the whole world. Based on the teachings of the Bible, the members of the Church believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong as the Second Coming Jesus, who restored the New Covenant truths that had been destroyed during the Dark Ages of the middle. The truths include the Sabbath day and the seven feasts of three times such as the Passover. They also believe in God the Mother who is the source of life and love.
On December 25, 2011 (the 1st day of the 12th month in the lunar calendar), they held a service for commemorating the 94th anniversary of the sacred birth of Christ Ahnsahnghong and have been carrying out environmental clean-up campaigns and sharing and voluntary services simultaneously around the world before and after that day. The Headquarters is located in South Korea. The Church of God has 2,200 Churches in 150 countries and the number of the registered members is around 1.63 million worldwide

[Germany News] World Mission Society Church of God in German, clean-up

[Germany News] World Mission Society Church of God in German, clean-up

[Berliner Woche form Germany]
march, 7, 2012

It was same on Mar. 11th when the street clean-up campaign was held in around 1900 cities in 150 countries worldwide. The clean-up campaign held in Rotes Rathaus last year is to be carried out again in the neighboring areas in Rotes Rathaus. Anyone who would like to join this even can come to Hackescher Market train station by 1 p.m.
In addition, the World Mission Society Church of God is actively participating in the blood drive across the world. For the first time in Germany, the church's blood drive campaign was carried out led by the Church of God in Wilmersdorf.

On Jan. 30th, around 60 citizens visited Haema blood drive center in Wilmersdorf and joined the blood drive. By accepting the offer of Daniel Bahr, the Minister of Health and Welfare from FDP, appealing more blood donations, the church is also expected to implement the blood drive campaign in April. Deacon Julian George explained the blood drive metaphorically, saying "2000 years ago, Jesus Christ gave us the eternal life by His blood shedding on the cross. We can save others through the blood we donate. "

On that evening, the activity of church members attracted many citizens' interest and they even participated in this campaign voluntarily like Wilhelm Gebelein.

The head pastor Bong Hee Lee expressed his thanks beside the campaign car. There were many church members who participated in this event for the first time in their lives like Laura Rein. With a smiling face, Laura Rein helped Eric Lemann from Haema get the injection.

With a flushed face with excitement, Conrad Strathausen, a theology student who first participated in this event said, "God did not hesitate to shed His blood for us and neither do I. The Church is expected to donate the blood donor card as well as compensation for the public.

The World Mission Society Church of God was established by Christ Ahnsahnghong in Korea in 1964. Currently, there are around 2000 churches in approximately 150 countries with about 1600000 registered members. Through the charity concert for the earthquake victims in Haiti, they were attracted by the public and they also have donated around $100000 to UN.

Since then, the World Mission Society Church of God has been keeping the mutual cooperative ties with UN. In 2011, the US President Barak Obama awarded the church a prize in recognition of its contribution to the society

Published on Feb 14, 2013

Dozens of people were outside on chilly Sunday working to make Albuquerque look a little nicer.
Volunteers with the World Mission Society Church of God[WMSCOG] spent a few hours cleaning up a stretch of the Rio Grande bike path.
Church members say they're inspired by the biblical story of the Good Samaritan, and wanted to do something good for their own community.
"We coordinated with the city council and they suggested this area for us, and they were very happy because this area was one they've wanted to clean up for a long time, but they could not find any volunteers to actually participate," Nick Hafen said.
Church members say similar clean-up projects are happening in about 150 countries.

[UK News] Clean-up prayers are answered!! - World Mission Society Church of God

[UK News] Clean-up prayers are answered!! - World Mission Society Church of God

Published on Oct 23, 2012
PEOPLE power saw 80 volunteers clean up Clarksfield as part of a worldwide campaign to rid streets of rubbish.

Members of the Trafford-based World Mission Society Church of God decided to lend a hand after reading in the Chronicle about reported litter problems in the area.

The mass clean-up comes amid fierce debate between Oldham politicians as to who is responsible for tidying our streets.

The Lib-Dems' alternative budget proposes employing two extra enforcement officers to tackle litter and fly-tipping and £135,000 for more Street Scene staff to keep Oldham clean.

But Labour councillors claim the tough financial position the council finds itself in does not allow the luxury of employing staff to clear up after residents — who should keep their own streets clean.

Complaints were raised by Councillor Lynne Thompson who reported Kelverlow, Goss Hall and Ronald and Eric streets as major hotspots. Councillor Thompson blamed a lack of council resources for the deteriorating problem.

Campaigners took matters into their own hands and headed to those streets where they felt their help would be most needed. Around 50 bin bags were packed full of rubbish in three hours. Delighted residents praised the volunteers on the good deed and invited them to "come round more often."

Others joined in with the clean-up. The volunteers, who pay for their own cleaning tools and transport to get around, have already tidied up areas of Manchester, Bury, London and Newcastle. They are carrying out the environmental campaign to cut pollution and to assist the underprivileged.

Lauren Webb, from the church, said: "When we see a problem area reported in a newspaper, we take it upon ourselves to carry out the mission to clean up that area."

The clean-up comes at a time when complaints have been made about cuts to Oldham Council's street-cleaning teams.

Council leader Jim McMahon blasted residents for not taking responsibility.

He said: "Some constituents expect us to start picking up after them. They think we should start with areas where residents don't look after their own streets. Do not attack the council for not taking action when you don't take your own."

Councillor Jean Stretton said there had been a slight increase in litter in certain hotspots of the borough which tend to be those with dense residential properties for obvious reasons.

There are 2,200 churches in 150 countries around the world, all participating in cleanups where they live.
